Ile de Ré

Claire enjoys spending time in many different inspiring landscapes but has a special connection with the beautiful beaches and nature reserve on the Ile de Re. She first visited the island when she was 6 months pregnant with her first child 25 years ago and has been visiting ever since, spending many happy family holidays there.  She has always been drawn to the sea and compelled to paint her emotional response to the sea and landscapes she feels part of. The stunning views across the wide beaches and ever changing sky are a constant source of inspiration to her.
